Tips for wavy hair?

Does anyone have some tips for styling wavy hair? My hair used to be more curly, but not it's just kinda wavy and I don't know what to do with it! I ususally just wear it up, because I hate the way it looks down. Thanks! :)

Yea buy this hair cream called aquelle (comes in a blue tube, sallys buety sales it) wash and blow dry hair at night until almost dry, add teh cream and then brais into two ponytails, unbraid in the moring, and pin front half up with poby pins, or war a cute headband.

It will also look really cute if you just pin up jsut part of on front side.

Or flat iron it sometimes.

Spray freshly washed roots with volumizing spray. I like Bumble %26amp; Bumble or you can try Aveda volumizing tonic .

If hair is naturally course or curly, work a straightening balm through hair. Here's a great list of balms .

Blow dry hair straight, starting at the roots to get extra volume. Hair must be completely dry for this look to work. Blow cold air at the roots to add volume (cold air locks in a style)

Separate hair into 3 sections, securing with a ponytail holder. (It's easier this way to curl your way through each section).

To curl hair, use a 1-inch barrel curling iron. Starting with one section, take a 1-inch portion of hair and wrap hair around the barrel of the curling iron. (Wrapping hair is different from the traditional curling method. You don't want to 'clip' hair into the barrel. Wrapping allows you to curl all the way to the root). When you're curling, make sure to leave ends loose.

Release the curl after about 5-10 seconds (hold longer if you want a tighter curl). You should have a corkscrew curl.

Roll %26amp; pin curl to your scalp.

Alternate the direction of the curl as you work your way through the section. (Wrap hair under once, then over the next time). Alternating directions makes curls look more natural.

Once pinned curls have cooled, release them.

Remove nozzle from dryer %26amp; gently loosen waves with cool air. You can also separate curls with your fingers, just make sure not to brush them out.

To add shine, spritz a hair serum . Or forego hair serum %26amp; spritz with saltwater spray. I like John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea spray.

Set with a spritz of hairspray. Just don't overdue it, you don't want to new waves to be 'crunchy.'

What You Need:

Volumizing spray

Straightening balm (if you have thick, course hair)

Hair dryer

A 1-inch barrel curling iron

Ponytail holder %26amp; bobby pins

Shine serum

Hairspray

Saltwater spray

I have very thick, long, wavy hair. Mine is very dry and frizzy so a hairdresser suggested using afro hair products. I use something called Lustres pink hair moisturizing lotion which is brilliant for frizzy hair. I first bought it from eBay, but have since asked around some black people and found a local shop that sells it so I no longer have to pay P%26amp;P.

Just take some styling gel or moose in your hand and begin to "scrunch" it. You do this by taking the bottom of your hair in your hand and moving you hand up-ward, gathering more hair. By doing this, it makes your hair curly and it lasts all day and when you have wavy hair like I do, it makes it look so curly! You can leave it down, put it in a pony-tail, etc! I hope this helps!

if your hair is down to about your shoulders i would layer it into 2 layers..that's what i have and it's easy to take care of and when you have it in 2 layers you can put the top layer up in a pony..or leave it down....and the under layer stays wavy and it looks cute..to me at least... =)

If u don't like wavy hair u should by a flat iron.

But if u do like wavy hair but u think it is 2 frizzy u should by frizz-ease.
