i love my wavy hair, but for some reason i get this wierd lump in the back where it waves. How can i prevent this? And i always let it air dry, i never blow dry. And my hair goes about 5 in. from my shoulder in a ton of layers

Okay... You could try parting it down the center while it dries. If you part it down the center, the back and underside will dry more quickly, and should prevent that lump.

there is a shampoo and conditioner called "straight hair" sounds dorky, but it should help, when i got a perm i had the same problem.

i would try blow drying it and then try braiding your hair. If you let the layers grow out and level out your hair, it will be easier to straighten and style. Plus braids look cute with your hair length!

i have this new herbal essence shampoo%26amp;conditioner for wavy hair to make it wavy but not 2 wavy. or u could flat iron ur hair and use this john fretia anit-friss stuff. it all works well! good luck with ur hair!!

There is nothing you can do then, it's wavy hair! Don't tie your hair up when it is wet though cos it can make kinks and avoid tying your hair tie in too tightly!
