Well, I have naturally wavy hair, and I love to straiten it, but my hair is very thick, and am limited to straitening it 1x a week....well, my question is...If I take a shower at night, and put it in one big braid, would that look good, or make it even more wavy...please help...!
Naturally Wavy Hair?
It will make it more wavy! Try putting ur hair in a shower cap! that will keep it th same way for a while! Then when your not going out or going to be seen by anyone then you can wash your hair! insted of straitining ur hair try blowing it dry with a hair dryer after ur shower it works for me!
Good luck

i have hair like yours and i love to straighten it as well :] but its damaging so what i do is scrunch it. I make little braids and put mouse and gel in it and sleep with it and in the morning when i take the braids out its all scrunched and pretty. but if you want just little waves, make a high ponytail or two and sleep with it. You can also put in some gel/mouse [or both] to help it stay.
as for the braid- yea it would look nice depending on how tight the braid is, how long u leave it on, and also on ur personal hair- how are ur waves now? no mattter what you do, i suggest using a gel/mousse of some kind. it'll help make it less frizier and make it stay longer.
also check this website out- wikihow.com. it gives step by step info for hair.
good luck and dont be afraid to experiment !

braiding it would definitely make it more wavy. i have the same kind of hair. but if you're talking about poofy wavy hair...the answer is either garnier soft curl cream. i know it says curl, but if you dont scrunch your hair up, it actually just smooths it out. but i advise you, a little goes a long way and there's also that paul mitchell super skinny serum which also smooths it out and looks really good. if you want pics, email me.
