How can i straighten wavy short hair?

Ive had wavy hair for the past year and I am wondering how I can straighten my hair. I have never straightened my hair before. My hair length is to the ear and its a center split. I notice that my hair looks like a mushroom after it drys. When i dry it right after a shower it, flat and straight. But after a few hours the bottom ends starts to puff out and the hair starts to become wavy again. In addition i don't want to use any chemicals such as straighteners or other products. if anyone can give be an advice, that would be great.

using a straightening iron will make it straight but if u want to bypass that u can go to th salon and hav ur hair relaxed by a professional. it involves chemicals but a good stylist wont fry ur hair and itll bypass using a straightener all the time.

a straightener would work and im not talking chemically...my friend bought two and her mom never used hers so im using hers i have wavy curly it depends on the weather but mine is to my shoulders...but i was VERY nervous about using a straightener as in not chemically..and boy do i get comments and im loving it if u use a straightener..soon your hair will adapt to the conditions and ull become better at it so straightening will be a breeze...also..take showers at night and then lay on it sometimes u can get that celebrity curl which always works for me so u wake up and do nothing with it :-p play with it

Sometimes hair gets frizzy because there is so much extra moisture left over even after you blow dry it. use a leave in conditioner, from thermasilk and blow dry it 15 mins after you think its completly dry. A straightening Iron would also work wonders as well! Make sure it has a temp control on it though!
