I am a guy and want to let my hair get moderately long, but I have wavy hair. As soon as it starts to get shaggy, it flips out on the ends and it makes it look like I just rolled out of bed and went out. Will it look better once it grows out a little more, or will it just get worse? And is there anything I can do to tame the curls without using a straightener or 100 different hair products?
Wavy hair problem?
Go get a Revlon Ceramic Straightener from Walmart (don't buy any other brands, trust me, they don't work).
Then whenever you want your hair straight, just plug the straightener in and let it get hot. Becareful not to burn your hair though! If you find that the highest heat setting is too hot, just use a lower setting until you find the perfect one. Don't forget that too much heat can damage your hair and make it frizzy as well as wavy!
After you get the right heat setting, just separate small sections of your hair and run the straightener from root to tip a few quick times until its straight.

u can go to a salon and get a relaxer, it helps a lot. my boyfriend does it all the time and his hair is now past his sholders.

you have to get through the awkward stages. Once it grows past this, it will sit better! There are liquid silk products that you put on you hair while it's wet that keep it tame once it dries!

if you really want your hair not curly then you can always get it chemically straightened - it doesn't last forever and after a few washes it isn't dead straight but it isn't curly either.
you're best bet is to ask a hairdresser for their opinion
